Zimbabwe, once one of the most prosperous nations in Africa, now holder of a new record, the highest inflation rate in the world, officially an almost unimaginable 10,000%, in reality, much higher! The economy is crippled and everyday life is hell for Zimbabweans. But the world has seen precious little of this daily battle for survival as the notorious Robert Mugabe has muzzled all media coverage. But not Datelines own Ginny Stein. At considerable personal risk, it has to be said, Ginny got in, armed with a secret camera.

An Australian internationalist we probably don't hear enough from here at home. Depending on your level of scepticism, it may seem contradictory that a man with a personal fortune estimated at around $350 million has been called a spokesperson for the world's poor. But that's how they described James Wolfensohn when he headed up the powerful, but hugely controversial World Bank. Of Jewish descent, a master networker not without his fierce critics, more recently the former Sydney lawyer and merchant banker, served as an envoy to the Middle East. George Negus spoke with him via satellite from New York.

If Dateline’s loyal viewers out there can cast your minds back to March of this year, you'll remember an incredibly moving report we called simply Sarah's Story. It was the tale of a young Iraqi girl who'd been badly injured when insurgents attacked her family, killing her mother. Sarah's Story was shot by an Iraqi, Fouad Hardy, who now lives in Melbourne. Well, once again Fouad has dared to film where most Western reporters simply fear to tread, outside the relative safety of the Green Zone. What follows is Fouad's personal journey through deadly, dangerous Baghdad.
