FORGOTTEN MALTESE - The Cilia story

Kevin Rudd has made an emotional apology to half a million people who faced abuse and neglect in Australian institutions between 1930 and 1970 - and child migrants. 310 Maltese children were sent to Australia between 1950 and 1965 - among them the Cilias - three brothers and three sisters.... this is their story.... a story of physical and sexual abuse... a lifetime of trauma. Maltese Folklore includes rituals related to birth, death, feasts, old customs, history, literature, legends, children’s games, traditional medicine and so many other aspects. Marion Felice, one of those incharge of the Gharb Folklore Museum takes Marlene Galea around the museum that houses an array of Maltese and Gozitan traditional objects.

Malta to host Duke of Edinburgh Award Forum in 2012
