Donna Kendrigan has taken her animation style into a whole new direction for her Japanese inspired film Urashima Taro.
"The animation I’m doing is based on a well-known Japanese folktale. It’s roughly about a fisherman who saves a turtle from being killed by these naughty boys on the beach. The turtle comes back a few days later and rewards the fisherman by taking him on an underwater journey to this amazing palace and he falls in love with the princess there."

Anyone who has seen Jonathan Nix's previous film, Hello, knows that he likes to give his characters weird objects for heads. In The Twelve Months, Jonathan has again played around with this notion, cleverly incorporating twelve different characters from the original Russian folk-tale into one calendar-headed giant.
