Czechoslovak Club in Adelaide - 60 years

The oldest Czech and Slovak community organization in Australia the Czechoslovak Club in Adelaide celebrated on Saturday 7th of November its 60 years of existence. More than 200 people took part at the celebration including the Czech Ambassador in Australia, Juraj Chmiel, SA Minister for Multicultural Affairs Michael Atkinson, leader of the opposition Isobel Redmond, Governor Hieu Van Le, Charles Stuart Mayor H. Anderson, Czech Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Zdenek Kotasek and many other guests.
Club's president Zdenek Jiranek in his speech highlighted the historical events which sparked the post war exodus and migration in 1948 and then 1968.
