Music is in my blood. My mum was pregnant with me while appearing in Hair. My early music career was as backing artists like Kylie Minogue and Jimmy Barnes. But my prayers were answered in 1991 when I joined The Rockmelons.
AKA "The True Soul Queen Of New Orleans", I grew up singing in church. At 17 I left home to work with R&B's Big Maybelle. A record producer told me to go to the Big Apple where I sang a Solomon Burke ballad, Cry To Me, - my first hit in 1963.
I left my engineering studies to perform in Jesus Christ Superstar. I was persuaded to record a Vanda and Young song. Pasadena was a runaway hit. Vanda and Young became my producers and songwriters, overseeing a string of hits.
6th of December - Kram from Spiderbait vs jazz chantreuse Elana Stone - where else but RocKwiz?
It's "two for the show" with these duets from Series 2 of RocKwiz.
Edited by Brian Nankervis, this book is a must for any rock trivia fans.
